A public service announcement (PSA) produced by Allan Hancock College motion
graphics students is now airing on CBS affiliate KCOY TV 12. The PSA is the
result of a competition among student groups within the college’s intermediate
motion graphics class as part of the applied design media curriculum.
The winning student team of Suzanne Hunter, Richard Seindenberg, John Hall
and Trirena Barnett created a 30 second, 3-D high definition piece using Maya
graphics, and composited the elements in Adobe After Effects. Instructor Ben
Slocum, an AHC alumnus and current KCOY employee, led the project.
The winning video can be seen through April 2.
The class is part of the multimedia arts and communication program that also
includes animation, graphics, photography and Web site design. For more
information, contact program coordinator Jeanine Moret at 922-6966 ext. 3389 or
